Palermo-Catania section between Enna and Caltanissetta reopened after yesterday’s accident

The A19 “Palermo-Catania” highway has reopened between Enna and Caltanissetta (km 118.500) after an accident involving a tanker truck caused damage to the road. The tanker spilled part of its cargo, leading to the closure of the highway. Anas, the company responsible for highway maintenance, assisted in removing the tanker and carried out repairs throughout the night and morning. This included new pavement, fixing damaged barriers, and installing boundary markers to delineate lanes. Horizontal road markings will be completed on Monday to allow the new pavement to set properly.
