Palermo bids farewell to former city official Attilio Carioti: His signature in the historic center’s restoration

Attilio Carioti, a retired engineer from Palermo, Italy, passed away on June 27 at the age of 77. He had a long career at the Palermo City Council and was known for his work in restoring the historic center of the city. He was involved in various roles, including coordinating the historic center, maintaining school buildings, managing the environment and ecology, and overseeing urban planning and private construction. He was also responsible for the restoration of the Teatro Massimo and worked on projects such as the Favorita and Monte Pellegrino areas. Colleagues and friends remember him fondly and express their condolences.
