Noto accused of stealing two statues from Carabinieri Association headquarters

A 39-year-old man in Noto has been reported by the Carabinieri for suspected aggravated theft. In November, unknown individuals had broken into the headquarters of the national Carabinieri Association in the baroque city, stealing two silver statues and 120 euros in cash. After an investigation, including the analysis of the city’s surveillance systems, serious evidence of guilt emerged against the 39-year-old. The man has been reported to the judicial authority in Siracusa and will have to answer for aggravated theft.
