New raid at Palermo city offices in Piazza Giulio Cesare

There has been a raid in the civil registry offices in Palermo’s Piazza Giulio Cesare. Just fifteen days after the first break-in, someone has entered the municipal premises again. The carabinieri are currently carrying out checks, along with technicians who are assessing the damage and determining if there have been any thefts. “The mayor needs to accept that the situation in the center is beyond any form of prevention,” says Antonio Nicolao, vice president of the first district. “An meeting with the prefect of Palermo is needed to increase law enforcement controls.” In the archive photo, the entrance to the tax office in Piazza Giulio Cesare is shown.
