New direct connection from Agrigento to Palermo airport by Trenitalia

A new direct connection between Agrigento Centrale and Palermo Airport has been activated by Trenitalia, the leading company of the Fs passenger division, at the request of the Sicilian Region, the service commissioner. Starting today, Monday, December 11, there will be 4 new services that will connect the city of Agrigento and “Falcone e Borsellino” International Airport in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes every day. The new connection was presented this morning at Agrigento Centrale station. The trains will not stop at Palermo Centrale, but will go directly to other stops, with optimized schedules to meet the demand for mobility to and from the metropolitan area of Palermo. This is just one of the new national features of Trenitalia’s winter season, with new and modern trains, more direct connections to airports, and further intermodality development.
