Near tragedy on Messina-Catania: truck loses cargo, two cars affected.

An incident occurred on the A18 Messina-Catania highway when a truck lost its load and hit a car, narrowly avoiding a tragedy. The incident took place after the Roccalumera exit, where heavy metallic objects fell onto the road and smashed the windshield of a Fiat Doblò traveling in the same direction towards the city. The driver managed to move and suffered only minor injuries to an arm. Some of the load also landed on a Seat, causing minor damage. The truck driver was reportedly unaware of what had happened and continued driving. The highway patrol and emergency medical services arrived at the scene to search for the truck.
