New theft in Agrigento. This time a fruit and vegetable shop in Caduti di Marzabotto Street in Villaseta was targeted. According to initial reconstructions, someone, during the night, forced the shop’s entrance door and once inside headed straight to the cash register stealing all the cash.
The discovery was made by the shop owner upon opening, who immediately alerted the carabinieri (police). The military conducted investigations and listened to the man to understand if he had seen or heard anything suspicious in the days leading up to the event. The amount of damage has not been quantified yet. No one in the area seemed to have noticed anything.
Investigators are reviewing the CCTV footage in the area. The frames could be very useful for the continuation of the investigations, which are coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
