Modica driver loses control, crashes into rotisserie: elderly woman injured

This morning, an incident occurred in Modica along “La Sorda” slope. Around 12:30, a woman driving a yellow Fiat 500 lost control of her car and crashed into the window of a rotisserie. Fortunately, no cars were traveling from the opposite direction or pedestrians were present at that moment. The car was completely destroyed, and the elderly woman sustained injuries. Emergency services were immediately alerted and arrived on the scene. Ambulance personnel provided initial care to the injured woman, while people inside the rotisserie remained unharmed. The municipal police also arrived to manage the traffic and conduct investigations. The road connecting Modica Bassa to Modica Sorda was temporarily closed due to the car blocking the entire lane. The road was reopened once the rescue team arrived, the vehicle was removed, and the road surface was secured. On September 19th, another car swerved and crashed into the entrance of a pharmacy in Corso Umberto. The driver, a retired person, only suffered minor injuries in that incident.
