Misilmeri youth on probation flees from a community, steals car, and damages other vehicles

An 18-year-old teenager escaped from a community in the province of Palermo, where he was under probation, and stole a car to reach Misilmeri. During his escape, he damaged several parked cars and resisted arrest. He is accused of aggravated theft and resistance against public officials. It is currently being checked if he has a valid driver’s license. The carabinieri intercepted and chased him, eventually apprehending him in Misilmeri. The stolen car was returned to its owner. The young man is also facing charges of personal injury and aggravated damage. The judge in Termini Imerese validated the arrest and ordered the suspect to be placed under house arrest with an electronic ankle bracelet.
