Military aircraft removed from runway: Pantelleria airport reopens

Yesterday, only late in the evening, the military plane was removed from the runway at the Pantelleria airport. The aircraft punctured a tire during landing, making it difficult to move. Firefighters and airport personnel were called to assist in the operations. The airport remained closed late into the night yesterday. Today, flights to and from Pantelleria have returned to normal.
