Migrants: The Story of Christmail, the Child Once Again ‘Orphaned’

Alessandra Teresi, a doctor and resuscitator, has taken in a young migrant boy named Christmail after his mother drowned during a journey from Tunisia to Lampedusa. Alessandra and her family have cared for him as their own, but recently the court revoked their temporary custody and sent Christmail to a protected facility without providing an explanation. Alessandra and her family are devastated and only wish for Christmail to be in a loving home with his father until they are reunited.
