Migrants rescued by Ocean Viking transported to Agrigento and Palermo hospitals

The two migrants who were on board the Ocean Viking ship, who were evacuated yesterday due to serious health problems, were picked up by a Coast Guard helicopter and transported to Lampedusa. An ambulance from the 118 service, which has been active on the island since last October, and an ambulance from the Asp clinic were waiting for them, where they were immediately taken due to their serious conditions.

They were intubated, stabilized, and transferred, one to the intensive care unit of the hospital in Agrigento and the other to the intensive care unit of Ingrassia in Palermo. The operation was coordinated by the 118 emergency center of Civico Hospital.
