Menfi’s anti-violence center in memory of Marisa Leo, killed by her partner

A new anti-violence center was inaugurated in Menfi, Italy, in honor of Marisa Leo, a 39-year-old woman who was killed by her partner in September. The center was established as part of a collaboration between the president of the anti-violence organization, Contro Tutte Le Violenze, and various mayors in Sicily. The center’s dedication to Marisa Leo was seen as a beautiful gesture. The event was attended by the mayor of Menfi and members of the association “Donne del vino Sicilia,” of which Marisa Leo was a part. The association has also committed to establishing a scholarship fund for Leo’s three-year-old daughter.
