The Carabinieri of the provincial command of Palermo executed a custodial order in prison issued by the judge, at the request of the Prosecutor, against Francesco Paolo De Luca, 28 years old, accused of attempted murder and illegal possession of a firearm.

The investigations conducted by the investigative unit of the military began immediately after a shooting incident in Vucciria, on the evening of March 18. The suspect, during a quarrel with a 35-year-old man, pulled out a firearm and shot him, injuring him in the arm. Evading capture on March 26, he was arrested on Easter morning at his parents’ house, where he had gone for lunch.

The victim, who had gone to the emergency room at the Civic Hospital in Palermo with a gunshot wound to the arm, was discharged with a 15-day prognosis and was arrested on a similar provision for personal favoritism, as he had told investigators that he had been robbed, thus favoring the attacker.
