Loud bells at Caltanissetta: faithful clash with priest

Residents of the San Giuseppe neighborhood in Caltanissetta, Italy have filed a complaint about the excessive noise caused by the church bells. The bells have been ringing too loudly and the hourly chimes have been too long, causing psychological stress and hearing problems for the residents. The complaint states that the bells have been ringing from 7am to 9pm, with continuous chimes every half hour. The residents find the noise unbearable and stressful, affecting their daily lives. The local priest, Angelo Spilla, has refused to comment on the issue, stating that he is too busy with parishioners. The bishop has not responded to inquiries either.
