Lipari fire in Quattropani: houses partially affected

A fire broke out in the town of Quattropani, causing concern among residents. The flames started along the road leading to the Santuario di Chiesa Vecchia after 11 pm on September 20. The fire also reached some houses. The locals believe it was arson, as the fire was started in multiple locations. The fire department, along with the civil protection officer Nico Russo and volunteers, including Alessandro Errico, quickly responded to the incident. They used shovels to control the fire and prevent it from reaching more houses. Some residents expressed gratitude to Alessandro Merlino, Giovanni Paino, Gaetano and Rossella Saltalamacchia, and Lucy Iacono for their quick intervention.
