A family has just arrived from Benghazi, Libya, at the “Mediterranean Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Center” of Bambino Gesù, operating at the San Vincenzo Hospital in Taormina. The Ministry of Health has authorized treatment at the excellent department of the hospital for their one-year-old son suffering from a severe congenital heart disease in terminal stage. The size of the heart is so large that it has altered the shape of the chest.
The child will be admitted to the department led by surgeon Sasha Agati after the parents obtained the necessary visas with the help of the Italian Consulate in Benghazi.
