A massive fire broke out in Gela, in the Montelungo Park area. The flames spread near the highway 115, causing traffic disruptions and delays. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene to control the fire, which had already spread within a few minutes. This area is frequently affected by wildfires, and it had already faced significant challenges during the emergencies in mid-July and September. The high risk is due to the large number of uncultivated and abandoned lands in the area. Firefighters are currently working to prevent further damage as hectares of land have already been consumed by the fire.
