Lampedusa airport (IATA code: LMP) is the reference airport for those who want to visit the remote Pelagie islands.
It is a small airport very close to the main town of the island, which if it were not for luggage you could even reach it on foot (it takes about 15 minutes, and once in the center you can reach other places on the island by bus).
From Lampedusa you can reach the smaller Linosa by ferry. There are only six airlines that operate flights to this airport (between domestic and low cost), and most of the flights are seasonal only.

The island of Lampedusa is covered by 2 bus lines, both have their terminus in Piazza Brignone which is located 1.3 km from the airport, the red circular (which connects Piazza Brignone to Cala Creta) and the blue circular (which connects Piazza Brignone in Isola dei Conigli). As the island is very small, the two bus lines cover all the main tourist destinations. Piazza Garibaldi city center is 1.1 km from the airport.
