Labor inspectors fine two construction sites in Palermo for safety and undeclared work

The activity of supervision carried out in recent days by labor inspectors of the Inl Sicily contingent in Palermo and the province has affected the construction and public sector. Two construction sites were inspected in the city: for both, activity was suspended, one for serious violations of health and safety regulations (lack of fall protection) and the other for undeclared work (half of the employees had no contract). Fines totaling 5,400 euros were imposed on the first site and 5,800 euros on the second. Three public establishments were also inspected: one in Carini, where a fine of 1,400 euros was issued for not updating the risk assessment document (Dvr), and two in Termini Imerese. In the first establishment, two out of six workers were found to be undeclared, resulting in a suspension of activity and fines totaling around 4,700 euros. In the second establishment, violations of health and safety regulations were identified (workplaces not meeting legislative requirements, industrial shelving lacking clear indication of maximum load capacity), with fines of 1,700 euros imposed.
