Italgas offers capital acquisition of Siciliacque, Iren giant arrives in Enna

Two financial operations in the water sector in Sicily open the door to national players in the island’s market. Italgas has presented a binding offer for the stakes held by Veolia in water service companies in Lazio, Campania, and Sicily. The negotiation in Sicily involves the sale of the private partner’s share in Siciliacque, the concessionaire of the Sicilian Region that manages a network of 2,000 kilometers and serves 1.7 million citizens. The deal includes the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Acqua S.r.l., which indirectly holds a significant stake in Siciliacque. Additionally, Iren has acquired a majority stake in AcquaEnna through its subsidiary, Ireti S.p.A.
