Inmate graduates in Architecture at Pagliarelli prison in Palermo with top honors

A young engineer detained in the Lo Russo-Pagliarelli prison in Palermo achieved a degree with top marks in architecture, with a thesis on “Greentrification”. This is the first degree awarded at Pagliarelli after the framework agreement signed on February 25, 2021, for the establishment of a prison university center. The graduation ceremony was attended by the detainee’s wife, children, and some emotional relatives. Thanks were given to the professors and prison administration staff who supported the student throughout the journey. Also present were the president of the Supervision Judiciary, Nicola Mazzamuto, and other regional and national authorities.
