Illegal street vendors attack municipal police officers in Palermo: prosecuted.

Two illegal street vendors at the Vucciria market in Palermo attacked and threatened municipal police officers during checks and subsequent seizures. The two were found in Piazza Caracciolo selling alcoholic and superalcoholic beverages, as well as food with musical entertainment, without any authorization.

The officers seized 3 counters, 100 bottles of alcoholic and superalcoholic beverages, 50 cans of non-alcoholic beverages, plastic glasses, cocktail ice, 20 kilograms of oranges and 20 kilograms of pomegranates, 2 professional audio speakers with supports, 2 professional mixers, 2 sets of professional strobe lights, approximately 30 meters of electrical and audio cables, 2 electrical current transformers, and 2 electrical power strips.

In addition to criminal charges, fines of 23,000 euros were imposed for sanitary deficiencies, lack of authorizations and certificates, and the Declaration of Commencement of Activity.
