Illegal Dumpsites in Trapani: Ten Fined

The Carabinieri have identified and fined ten individuals who have abandoned piles of non-hazardous special waste in various areas in the province of Trapani. The forestry Carabinieri of the Natura Anticrime Center in Palermo, Trapani detachment, found garbage abandoned along secondary roads or in rural areas. Investigations were carried out, and the soldiers were able to track down those who had disposed of the waste and fined them with monetary penalties ranging from 300 to 3,000 euros. In two other cases, inoperative vehicles were also abandoned. The dumping sites were reported to the municipalities of Custonaci, Erice, Marsala, Paceco, and Valderice.
