Healthcare management in Messina: CISL declares a state of unrest.

The public health system in Messina and the surrounding area is suffering. The Fp Cisl union, led by Giovanna Bicchieri, has declared a state of agitation and organized a protest to be held in front of the Asp headquarters. Hospital staff from Lipari, Santa Agata, and Nebrodi will be participating, as these areas are heavily affected by the lack of medical professionals and closed birthing centers. The protest also covers other issues such as decentralized collective bargaining, stabilization, meal disputes, professional downgrading, and transfers without prior information and union consultation. The mayor, Riccardo Gullo, has also intervened to reopen the birthing center at the hospital.
