Gravina, elderly robber’s accomplice arrested by police

The Carabinieri of the mobile section of the Gravina di Catania company executed a precautionary measure in prison against a 57-year-old man from Belpasso with a criminal record for aggravated robbery and personal injury. The man had broken into the home of a 79-year-old woman in Gravina, but she was awake and caught him in the act. Despite her attempts to stop him, he kicked her and fled with her belongings. The neighbors heard her screams and called the police, who arrived quickly and found the woman in shock. The man was identified through surveillance camera footage and was later apprehended. The woman pressed charges and he was arrested for robbery and personal injury.
