The Giglio Hospital Foundation of Cefalù has published a notice for a operating room nurse instrumentist. It is a public selection based on qualifications and exams, aimed at creating a ranking, in order of merit, from which the Foundation can hire for full-time permanent contracts (36 hours per week). Employees hired on a permanent private law contract will be subject to the national collective labor agreement for healthcare personnel associated with Aiop Aris conventions for the 2016-2018 period, along with any subsequent modifications and company-level integration agreements.

The requirements:
Candidates must have a degree in nursing (or equivalent diploma), at least 1 year of work experience in the operating room as an instrumentist (verified by service testimonial) or a University Master’s Degree as a instrumentist nurse, registration with the Professional Association, Italian or European Union citizenship, no criminal convictions, physical fitness for the job, and a European format curriculum vitae in PDF documenting specific professional activities and relevant experience for the role, along with proof of identity.

The tests:
The selection process will include a written test, an interview on nursing topics, and a practical test evaluating the instrumentist nurse skills in General Surgery, Endoscopy, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Urology at the Foundation’s Operating Room. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to independently prepare the operating field, participate in surgical activities, and have complete control over the surgical materials used.

Applications must be submitted by April 2nd to the President of the Giglio Institute Foundation in Cefalù, at the specified address or through the website. The merit ranking will be valid for 3 years from the end of the selection process, unless extended for justified reasons.
