Gela, accused of abuse, two lawyers file a lawsuit: judge rules against him, lawyers acquitted.

The Court of Cassation has put an end to the trial against two lawyers accused of defamation through the media. The judge of the Court of Gela had ordered the closure of the investigation on February 7, 2023, regarding a complaint made by a man, represented by lawyer Salvatore Macrì, who claimed to have been defamed by a press release issued by lawyers Eleanna Parasiliti Molica from Enna and Giuseppe Messina from Gela, both defended by lawyer Giovanni Di Giovanni. The man, who is on trial for sexual abuse against his son, complained that they exposed his identity and that of his minor son. The judge in Gela, agreeing with the prosecutor’s request and the defense lawyer’s arguments, ordered the closure of the case. The plaintiff was also fined three thousand euros.
