Former employee of a youth community in Nisseno convicted of sexually assaulting 13-year-old boy

A 38-year-old woman from Canicattì, in the province of Agrigento, has been arrested and sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison for sexual assault against a minor. The victim, who was 13 at the time of the assaults in the summer of 2016, was represented by a lawyer who helped him bring the case to court. The woman’s appeal to the Supreme Court was declared inadmissible, making her sentence final. She has also been ordered to compensate the victim and has been banned from public office and any position in schools or other institutions frequented by minors for 5 years.
