Fire breaks out in abandoned farmhouse along the Palermo-Agrigento road near Misilmeri

The fire brigade intervened to extinguish a fire in Misilmeri, in the Masseria Damari district. The fire broke out in an abandoned farmhouse located on the Palermo-Agrigento main road, at kilometer 243. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters confirmed that no one was inside. The fire brigade arrived at around 11:30 pm yesterday, Sunday, October 29. Two teams from the provincial command and one from the volunteer detachment of Villafrati intervened in the single-story farmhouse, which was uninhabited. The fire and smoke reached all the rooms. The extinguishing and decontamination operations were completed at 2 am. The cause of the fire is currently being evaluated.
