Femicide in Piemonte, Agrigento council pays for Patrizia Russo’s funeral

The mayor of Agrigento, Franco Miccichè, and his councilors will cover the expenses for the funeral and transportation of the body of Patrizia Russo, the 53-year-old woman who was stabbed to death by her husband Giovanni Salamone in Solero, in the province of Alessandria. The victim’s son, during a prayer vigil at the Badiola church in the historic center of the city, asked for financial support. Miccichè, who did not publicize the charitable initiative, confirmed that he and his councilors had immediately started a personal fundraiser to cover the expenses.
