Another fatal accident in Sicily. This time the tragedy occurred in Catania, along provincial road 92, which connects Nicolosi to Mount Etna. The car was headed towards Rifugio Sapienza, and the vehicle was destroyed. The Carabinieri carried out the necessary investigations to understand the causes of the accident, and the road remained closed for several hours to allow for rescue operations, investigations, the removal of the vehicle, and the safety of the road. Provincial road 92 was reopened only around 5 a.m.
