Fatal car crash in Nicolosi: 20-year-old killed, 4 injured

Explain in brief the following article

Another fatal accident in Sicily. This time the tragedy occurred in Catania, along provincial road 92, which connects Nicolosi to Mount Etna. The driver of a car, a Ford Fiesta, lost control of their vehicle, crashing, for reasons still under investigation, against the wall that delimits the roadway. The 20-year-old driver died on the spot, while the other three passengers, all minors aged between 16 and 27, suffered serious injuries.

Immediately four ambulances from the 118 emergency service, along with the firefighters from the Adrano detachment and the Carabinieri from the Nicolosi Station, intervened at the scene of the accident. The rescuers could only confirm the death of the 20-year-old boy, originally from Belpasso, and provide first aid to the 4 injured who were transported by ambulances to the Cannizzaro Hospital in Catania to receive the necessary treatment.

The car was headed towards Rifugio Sapienza, and the vehicle was destroyed. The Carabinieri carried out the necessary investigations to understand the causes of the accident, and the road remained closed for several hours to allow for rescue operations, investigations, the removal of the vehicle, and the safety of the road. Provincial road 92 was reopened only around 5 a.m.
