Elderly woman killed by car in incident in Petralia Sottana

Incidente a Petralia Sottana, muore un'anziana investita da un'auto

A 75-year-old woman, Carmelina Cerami, died after being hit by a car while crossing the road on the 290 state road in the Madonnuzza district in Petralia Sottana. The elderly woman suffered serious head injuries.

An air ambulance was sent to assist the patient. 118 health workers tried to stabilize her but as soon as she arrived at the emergency room, the woman died. She was hit by a man driving a Fiat Panda. The car was seized. The driver faces a possible charge of vehicular manslaughter.
