Elderly man missing in Bagheria found in basement, confused.
The nightmare is over for the family of Giacomo Sparacio, the elderly man who had been missing for three days in Bagheria, on the outskirts of Palermo. The 91-year-old was found in a courtyard basement and was in a confused and weakened state. He had spent two nights outdoors after leaving home around 3am on November 8th. Due to his health condition, an ambulance was called to take him to Buccheri La Ferla hospital in Palermo for medical examinations. In the past few hours, desperate appeals from family members were circulated on social media. Just a few months ago, another elderly person was found after several days missing in Siculiana. In that case, the whole town had mobilized to find Ignazio Tabbone, who had Alzheimer’s. The police, carabinieri, and civil protection volunteers had all joined in the search.
