In Palermo, an 85-year-old man was saved from a life-threatening accident by a carabinieri officer. The officer noticed the elderly man about to cross the road, but he tripped and fell, hitting his head on the ground and injuring his body. The officer immediately came to his aid, preventing cars from hitting him. He called for medical assistance, and when they arrived, they provided the necessary care. Once the elderly man recovered, he refused to go to the hospital but asked for the carabinieri officer to accompany him home.
