A completely free accompaniment service for elderly and low-income sick people. It is the Solidarity Taxi, a social initiative promoted by the Cuore Colorato Aps association and supported by MCL Palermo, which guarantees the most vulnerable groups in Palermo the possibility to move around the city and neighboring municipalities starting from 2023.

To further enhance the service requested by an increasing number of users, MCL Palermo has launched a fundraising campaign on the GoFundMe platform with the goal of reaching 20,000 euros. With this amount, it will be possible to purchase two more vehicles to be used for the service offered by the volunteers of Cuore Colorato Aps, who will be able to meet an increasing number of requests for help.

“We enthusiastically support the Solidarity Taxi initiative through a monthly contribution, but we do not want and cannot stop there,” declares Giuseppe Gennuso, president of MCL Palermo. “The guys from Cuore Colorato Aps, to whom our esteem and gratitude go, need new vehicles to improve the service. For this reason, I appeal to all my fellow citizens asking for an act of love towards our community. Even the smallest gesture of altruism from each of us can lead to unexpected achievements.”
