Donation box stolen from church of Sant’Espedito in Palermo

The theft of the offertory money in a church on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception has left the faithful and the parish priest of the church of Sant’Espedito in Palermo shocked. The theft apparently occurred during the 12:15 mass, when a man placed his jacket over the collection box and then walked off with it without anyone noticing at first. Eyewitnesses reported the incident to the police, who are now investigating the theft. The thief fled the scene quickly and without leaving any clues.
