Death of Giarre Girolamo Barletta, president and politician: grief in the Etna community

Barletta, born in Linguaglossa in 1931, was a multifaceted personality. He was a honorary citizen of the cities of Giarre and Riposto and held various political positions. He was also a founding member and president of various cultural and historical societies. He was a scholar of popular traditions and authored several publications on the subject. Colleagues and friends in the education community have expressed their sorrow for his loss and highlighted the impact he had during his time as headmaster.
