Piergiuseppe De Luca has been confirmed by acclamation as provincial president of the Christian Workers Movement in Catania, following the 14th congress held at the Diocesan Museum conference hall. Alongside vice presidents Paolo Ragusa and Michele Cristaldi, also reconfirmed, he will remain in office for the next five years. De Luca highlighted the MCL’s growth in Catania, from 794 members in 2019 to over 3,000 in the current year. The organization has expanded its presence and services in the territory, providing solidarity activities and support to those in need. The focus for the next five years will be on the training and qualifications of young people between 18 and 29 who are unemployed or unemployable due to lack of skills. The congress was attended by various local and regional authorities, including the Archbishop of Catania and the Mayor.
