Danish tourist in Catania reported for not paying hotel bill

The rapid response unit of the police headquarters in Catania intervened on Viale Kennedy, near a well-known hotel on the coast, following a report of a quarrel. The receptionist informed the officers that he had had a verbal argument with a 26-year-old Danish guest staying at the hotel for a few days, who, when asked to settle the bill, claimed to have been in Sicily for about 45 days and to be out of money. Investigations by the police revealed that the young man had stayed in other hotels in Trapani and Palermo in recent days without paying his bills, leading to him being reported. Based on these findings, after the formal filing of the report by the hotel’s legal representative, the Danish citizen was reported for fraudulent insolvency.
