Several ferry connections in the Aeolian Islands have been disrupted after the Finance Guard seized six ferries belonging to Caronte & Tourist Isole Minori, five of which served the archipelago. The main problem is the supply of food to the islands’ businesses. Only one ferry, the Paolo Veronesi, departed from Milazzo this morning. Panarea remains isolated commercially. The suspension of several ferry connections has caused many traders trying to reach the islands to be stranded in Milazzo. Efforts are being made to resolve the situation and ensure the continuation of ferry services.
