Corruption investigation in Palermo: Police officers unresponsive to judge, pusher confesses

Fabrizio Spedale and Salvo Graziano, two deputy police superintendents arrested in Palermo two days ago for corruption, embezzlement, and forgery, have chosen not to answer during today’s (October 5th) interrogation. On the other hand, the third suspect, drug dealer Ignazio Carollo, admitted to receiving confidential information about ongoing investigations from Spedale and sharing the drug profits with him. The three individuals were incriminated by a series of intercepted conversations. Spedale and Graziano allegedly took possession of drugs seized during investigations, falsely claiming to have destroyed them, and instead sold them to Carollo for resale.
