Trapani’s magical Christmas? A Ferris wheel and ice rink. Today the inaugurations of both attractions: first the Ferris wheel in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele followed by the ice skating rink at Villa Margherita. An 8-year-old girl, Vittoria, cut the ribbon for the Ferris wheel and had the privilege of being the first to ride accompanied by her mother and the Sports Assessor, Lele Barbara. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a small group of curious people in the central Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. “I had fun – said Vittoria once she got off the wheel -. Up there it’s beautiful”. Trapani’s main Christmas attraction is now in operation. After that, Mayor Giacomo Tranchida, accompanied by Assessor Barbara, along with another young boy, also cut the ribbon for the ice rink at Villa Margherita. Ticket cost: seven euros for adults (two rides), five euros for children up to ten years old. In short, Trapani has already entered the magical Christmas atmosphere.
