The church was built in 1612 to a design by Grazio Nobili. From the outside it is very simple and reflects the style of the early Roman Baroque, with a fa├žade divided horizontally and punctuated by pilasters, while in the interior, consisting of a single nave, it is very rich, splendid baroque masterpiece with polychrome marble decorations that completely cover the walls.
The barrel ceiling has gilded stuccoes and the fresco “The triumph of religious orders” by Olivio Sozzi, realized around 1738. On the high altar we find the canvas with “The Immaculate Conception” by the famous artist Pietro Novelli.
