Catania: Firefighters intervene as tanker leaks fuel

The firefighters of the provincial command of Catania with the South detachment team and the Nbcr (Nuclear Biological Chemical Radiological) Unit intervened in the late morning of today, Wednesday 15 May, in via Fontanarossa near the Vincenzo Bellini airport in Catania for a fuel leak from a tanker truck. The fuel leaked from an over-pressure valve of the 25-ton tanker truck. The firefighters secured the tanker truck. The street was closed to traffic as a precaution and carabinieri, state police, and road maintenance operators also intervened on the scene.
