Catania archbishop returns to celebrate mass after heart attack

Archbishop Luigi Renna, the metropolitan archbishop of Catania, has returned to celebrate Mass after undergoing angioplasty at the Morgagni Heart Center in Pedara for a myocardial infarction. According to the Facebook page of the Archdiocese, Archbishop Renna conducted the Mass at the Sanctuary of Mompileri privately to thank the Lord and the Virgin Mary for the gift of priesthood and regained health. Born in Corato but from a family in Minervino Murge, Archbishop Renna is expected to participate in the diocesan ecclesiastical conference scheduled for September 18 and 19 at the Sanctuary of Mompileri, according to his health conditions.
