Caserta dedicates a roundabout to Francesca Morvillo – homage to an inspiring figure.

A roundabout in Caserta, Italy has been named after Francesca Laura Morvillo, a magistrate and the wife of judge Giovanni Falcone, who died in the mafia attack in Capaci. The roundabout is located between Via Marchesiello and Via Falcone. The mayor of Caserta, Carlo Marino, the Culture Commissioner, Enzo Battarra, the president of the Women’s Toponomy Association, Fosca Pizzaroni, and magistrate Raffaello Magi were present at the naming ceremony. The initiative follows the approval by the city council to name three roundabouts after women of extraordinary value. The other two roundabouts will be dedicated to the manager Marisa Bellisario and the politician Renata Fonte.
