Cartels in Bagheria safeguard stray cats – Marking the presence of feline colonies
Ad hoc signs have been created to protect the street cats in Bagheria. The municipal assessor for Stray Animals and Animal Welfare, Giuseppe Tripoli, announced this after health officials from Asp identified the cat colonies in the area. The signs, which indicate the presence of the cats that are cared for, fed, and pampered by volunteers, have been placed in various areas of the city. There are ten cat colonies in Bagheria, and they are protected by regional laws. The cats are sterilized and periodically checked by volunteers and law enforcement. The goal is to ensure the well-being of these street cats. The Asp and the municipal police are monitoring their activities. The volunteers who take care of these cats are thanked, and Tripoli emphasizes the municipality’s commitment to the welfare of both dogs and cats.
