Two of the allegorical floats that paraded last night (February 11th) in Taormina on Corso Umberto for the Carnival event were seized by the local police led by commander Daniele Lo Presti. They did not respect the scheduled times for the parade, causing a traffic jam near a well-known venue at the entrance of the historic center. After the parade, municipal agents placed seals on the floats because, at that time, they were deemed “not suitable for circulation.” It is likely that the allegorical floats will not be available for the parade scheduled for tomorrow.
