Car accident in Villabate involving three cars leaves four injured: traffic paralyzed

An accident involving three cars occurred at the Villabate roundabout, on the outskirts of Palermo. The incident took place in Figurella Square, in front of the fruit and vegetable market, a busy area where chaos ensued within minutes. Two Volkswagen Golfs and a Peugeot were involved in the collision. Four people were injured and taken to the hospital by emergency medical personnel. Two of the drivers, aged 74 and 75, were initially assisted by bystanders. The other two injured individuals, aged 71 and 67, suffered various injuries but are not in life-threatening condition. The impact was severe, causing extensive damage to the vehicles. The accident resulted in significant traffic delays, worsened by a second collision along the parallel road to the highway. Three cars were involved in this incident. Traffic was heavily affected both towards the city entrance and the A19 highway. The scene was managed by emergency services, including the ambulance, Anas, municipal police, and highway patrol. Investigations to determine the crash’s dynamics are ongoing.
